Here's a sampling of some of my image work:
Candle: Just what it says.
Created using the GIMP. To be part of a future, larger work.
Say Goodbye:
Backdrop to the Lyric page for Say Goodbye.
The song begins plaintively
and then becomes more intense, urgent and hopeful. It seemed appropriate
given all the chaos in September and October of this year. Yes, all the
heavenly bodies are aligned, all the way out to Saturn. No, that didn't
happen this year. I just thought it would be cool to create an image
like this, and it seems to lend itself to the song as well.
The song Say Goodbye was written by Billy Sherwood and Chris Squire,
and it may be found on the album Conspiracy, by Billy Sherwood
and Chris Squire. It may also be found on a non-US version of Union,
by Yes. (See my links page for the connection to Yes.)
.
Created using the GIMP. The sky is the skyline gradient; the mountains
were done freeform; the top half was reflected and then had the ripple
distortion applied to it, and then it was scaled down to fit in its
location. Much experimentation with the program was done during the
creation of this image.
